Sports Media Guide is owned and operated by Murray Sorkin and Steve Marantz, graduates of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Marantz is a former staff reporter and columnist for the Kansas City Star, Trenton Times, Boston Globe,  Sporting News and Boston Herald, covering sports, politics and government. He is a researcher for E:60 and ESPN Content Development, and writes for E:60 Production Notes. His latest book is “The Rhythm Boys of Omaha Central: High School Basketball at the ’68 Racial Divide”.
